It's a way of disguising who you are on the internet by changing your IP address .Usually used by devious people with something to hide.

I don't see why it's relevant Laffy. The messageboard shouldn't be a place where people post things just to get others to like them. That's what happens on Reddit, and if you have a look over there it's made the place an incredibly dull echo chamber. People just agreeing with each other all the time, nobody dares posting anything that is contrary to the popular/accepted view of that particular Reddit community. On the rare occasion someone does post something controversial, it gets "downvoted" and hidden from other users so you never get to see different ideas.

All of that makes a community very stale. I like seeing lots of different opinions, I like people having a debate and genuinely arguing a point with each other. I like seeing the odd controversial post too, keeps things interesting. A forum should be about those things, not people posting things just to be popular.

So mods, was it Nigel Davidson from the Trust who asked you to delete Barry's posts? Or did you decide to delete them on your own? Or was there another party involved?

It seems as though someone else posted a question about Barry's posts yesterday and the thread was deleted and the user banned. Still think it's a "software glitch"? The mods lies are coming apart at the seams and they still persist with their bullshit about not knowing what happened.

I'm sorry, but the mods clearly are lying to us. I see nothing wrong with calling people liars when they have in fact lied. I may not have proof, but it's blatantly obvious to all what has happened. It would be nice if the mods had the decency to just come clean.

Not like you to use something as ‘evidence’ when you have no idea about it.

There’s no evidence either way to be fair Moonie. The mods say that didn’t delete Barry and his posts, the circumstances suggest that they did, so Kessler and several others are saying that they did. Impasse but with considerable circumstantial evidence.

There can’t be ‘no evidence either way’ and ‘considerable circumstantial evidence’. The two are mutually exclusive.

I’m sorry that I’m not a lawyer Moonie and don’t live up to your pedantic semantic needs, so here’s a definition of circumstantial evidence to demonstrate what I mean:

: evidence that tends to prove a fact by proving other events or circumstances which afford a basis for a reasonable inference of the occurrence of the fact at issue.

In other words, there’s no direct evidence either way so circumstantial evidence is what is left and there’s a lot of it as detailed by several folk over the weeks, including Kessler, and then more from what happened to “Brian” yesterday. From that I would suggest that there is more than a reasonable inference of the occurrence of the fact that the Mods got rid of Barry and his posts following a request or demand from a Trust official and then lied about it. Clear?

There’s nothing pedantic in what I said. You can’t have ‘circumstantial evidence’ at the same time as ‘no evidence’. All you have is supposition and speculation, neither of which are evidence.

I see that you’re happier talking about semantics rather than the smoking gun. The mods will be very proud of you.

There is no smoking gun. The idea that the trust are somehow behind this is pure speculation.

There is no evidence that the trust aren’t behind it either - but I suspect no amount of proof would be accepted by some.
