Not especially impressed with Bradford’s signings tbh.
Vadaine Oliver has had a pretty mixed bag of a career so far with a couple of relegations on his CV and I don’t rate him that highly.
Didn’t realise Doncaster had signed Lee Tomlin until I saw his antics on Saturday. Regardless, he’s a better signing than anyone Bradford have picked up.
If I was offered Oliver or Tomlin I’d take Oliver every time. Tomlin was class early on in his career, at Peterborough and Middlesbrough, but his career’s been in freefall pretty much ever since. Struggled for fitness coupled with the fact he’s an idiot means he’s turned into a bit of a nomad in football terms. Oliver’s a decent centre forward at this level.

Bradford city carrying a big squad of first team players, going all in on promotion this year.
Brad Halliday possibly a player we were interested in

Probably a fair assessment. I think Telford is a clever player who based on his body shape you'd think would never make a footballer. He needs good service and with Newport's no.9 Baker Richardson off to Crewe and Finn Azaz probably not returning on loan again from Villa, his prospects at Newport looked unexciting. A 3 year deal is fantastic for him even in League 2.Always pretty telling where a player ends up in regards to how good he actually is. Normally 25 league goals would automatically result in a move to a higher league or to a club with mega money for their level, the fact he’s moved to a less fashionable club in the same league is pretty telling.
Previous 7 seasons as a pro he scored 14 goals, a great 7 months where he bagged 24 was followed by 1 goal in his last 13 games. Suspect he hit a purple patch in an otherwise non-descript career.
Stockport proper going for it!
Here he is! 🤩

Crawley have just announced Telford.
Not quite sure how they’ve managed that, top scorer in L2 last season.
Not often you manage to downgrade from Newport!
Should be a good first game of the season![]()
Edit - beat me to it crunch..
Will have been a lot of years that we don’t travel down South West England
Bet we draw Torquay or Plymouth in the cup
