When most of the injuries are cleared up we will have some squad and team. Regardless a lot of players have contracts to play for and there is healthy competition for positions and places.

Not good news about Edmo we may regret not getting another striker in. With him and Sho Silver missing any more injuries and we will struggle to put anyone on the field who can score goals.

Seems a lot of clubs have had big injury lists lately, to hazard a guess it might be to do with:
Less pre season (with season starting early)
Amount of games played - not sure I remember as many games played over that time frame
The fact we had an obscenely warm summer and the ground was rock hard (lack of adequate training pitches).
Crocked players - Devitt and Dickenson both prone to injuries. Guy prone to an injury too.
Types of players recruited: Moxon and Harris you have to expect injuries at some point with the step up.
Lack of recruitment structure dodgy Dave left - unable to get all players in early enough.
Bad luck: Every year at some point you get an injury crisis - hopefully ours has been with the contact injuries to: Feeney, Barclay, Edmondson etc.

Not surprised Re Devitt breaking down again, His body has gone as a pro player that’s why Barrow ditched him & frankly I was amazed you signed him for this season again as he’s never ever getting back as he plays a handful then is crocked on spin & repeat, Shame for the lad in all honesty
Devitt came in last season when we we looked to be completely gone and heading down.
He quietly played a part in the good spell that we had that saved our bacon.
I suppose it seems we made the wrong decision now in offering him a new deal but it was very much understood that this was a strong possibility.

We’ve struggled to score goals as it is with the latest scares we will be lucky if we can field a forward line other than Stratton and Bollardo or recall Fishburn.
One notable thing from last night is Harris he’s slowly catching up with what’s required of him, he’s an intelligent passer of the ball always looks to make sure he finds his man, also shows strength on the ball, there’s a decent player in there.
