Totally agree CCU. It makes no sense at all to keep him hidden, immediately makes it sems as though there is something to hide, when it actually could be spun into something good and optimistic.

Whether CUOSC is aware is irrelevant, they don't represent the fans. I feel we get more info from the CUSG meetings. I do wish you would reconsider and go to those. Their minutes usualy turn something up of interest.

CUOSC have very little say as can be seen in the appointment of a 53 year old journeyman manager when they wanted a young bright coach to the take the club forward. That worked out well.

I want you to reconsider as I think it’d be very beneficial. I sometimes see one of the blokes from the west coast branch at work and he says it’s worthwhile for finding stuff out. If nothing else I’d suggest Going as a one off to see if there is any merit. I don’t think it can do any harm by doing that and it wouldn’t make this board any less independent.

Email NC and see if he will give you a direct answer.

At the time I was anti the message board getting involved and said so.
My reason was I thought the whole CUSG thing was stepping on the toes of our fan rep. I really wanted the fan rep to succeed (still do) and I thought having CUSG, CUOSC and a fans rep would be too many cooks, they would get in each others way and nothing would get done.

Now things have changed. We don't have a fans rep, CUOSC appear to be a secret society who don't represent or report back to their members never mind fans in general and we are left with CUSG.

For myself I am happy with and respect the fans who are working in CUSG. Having chatted with some that attend, they say they have learned from going, although some find it frustratingly slow in getting any ideas off the ground. At the moment CUSG seems to be made up of those who travel to away matches and the London branch. I would like it to become a broader spectrum of fans and preferably more folk from the younger end of the fanbase.

I would like the message board represented.

for all the BOD's talk about communicating with the fans we're back to square one. They've got no intention of "keeping the fans" in the loop. They deserve all the flak we can give them. If anyone from the trust is reading this we need answers from you. Are Jim and Billy prepared to call a meeting so we can pin them down or will they invoke their version of an "NDA" answers please

Of course, they won't. they cant put themselves in a position where people will ask them questions that they know they cant answer and I suggest they would constantly invoke the "we cant answer that because of our confidentiality agreement " from being on the Holdings/1921 board which would make the whole thing nothing but a sham.

As for being part of the group crap Don't Touch It Wih a Bargepole all it would do would be to give Clibbins and his spin more credence when in effect what this board should be doing is everything in its power to remove him. I read their notes with incredulity because I refuse to believe that the West Coast guys sitting there like nodding donkeys is in anyway representing their members and what effort did they make to stand up for Mark when the club totally abused him ?

This Board would be much better employed setting up a group with a stated aim of removing Jenkins, the current board and all their puppets as soon as possible like fan organisations at other clubs do when they're not happy with the arseholes they find running their clubs.

The staff list has now been brought up to date apart from Mr Holdsworth but Amy hasn't changed the date at the top which is still showing 1st May.

It's interesting some roles are left vacant at the moment like Strength and Conditioning coach but there's no vacant role for Commercial Director. As we thought there was never any serious intention of replacing Phil King when his duties could easily be taken on by the other staff.

In fairness we put the option to a users vote, who indicated they didn’t want the Messageboard represented. If folk wanted us to reconsider we’d do so again...

It was obvious you wanted to go to the meetings and get involved last time we had a vote Dan, you were disappointed when the vote didn’t go how you wished. You’re in danger of turning into Nicola Sturgeon!

Not at all. As I’ve said several times on here, think the idea isn’t bad, but in its current form isn’t up to the job (Up to 3 Reps from each Group? Far too many!)...

Never once in the notes has there been a report of a major disagreement or falling out never mind anybody giving Clibbins a good chinning which I find very disappointing, to say the least.

Thoughts of CCU with a Nicola Sturgeon hairstyle is quite a disturbing vision.

What a start to his recruitment work, it took an age to get a manager in and we’ve only got half a team with the season starting in 3 weeks...

It’s interesting that his brother Dean was part owner of Bolton until a fall out with the chairman last year. Maybe him and his brother are been lined up by EWN for succession. Doubtful but you never know.

Well if it was EWM who chose the manager I guess it's them we can blame for losing out an exciting young successful manager in Hopkin

I have noted this before about the David/Dean Holdsworth link, i do think that EWM have brought him in.
I think now EWM/ P Day need to elaborate more on their intentions now before the season starts.
