The first one I remember was Football Manager on the Spectrum ZX81-128Kbut there was Four Divisions with around 20 in. All the early games seemd not to include Carlisle for some reason. Perhaps they had an NDA out or summat.
I was hooked on The Double in the late 80's.

Carlisle was one of them

lummy8 wrote: Its a tough read, basically the old board have ran out of money or stopped putting money in, EWM simply want a football club in the area, I do not think now that they are bothered about how good, they just want it to have league status.
DH has been brought in to balance the football side of the books, which he is doing. I think he is running the show, as he talks about players "I like him".
To be fair to him, he says we are better off and budget is there so he has done what was asked of him, so it is over to DH and SP now to get the players, though I think he aims that more at SP.
Why is it a tough read......because never ever in 2009 did I think Carlisle would be a shadow of its former self and the plus point being quoted everywhere is "look at Bury"...brilliant.

Surely as I have said before if we needed a DoF why not get someone who has done the job before.

Greg Abbott compared us to a "Rochdale or a Bury" when you were still playing. Short memory.
I'd like to see a few objective posts from you for a change instead of your constant stream of negativity.
The media can help put bums on seats, you seem to have made it your mission to do the opposite.

Specifically "Ginger Panface".
It's an affectionate term, I'm not sure why it upsets him so.

The length of contract for our players is all about managing risk as Holdsworth explained in his interview. His worst nightmare is paying wages in a new season for injured or out of form players.

Yet they handed a 2 year contract to a player who will miss the whole season with an ACL injury.

Yes, some soft players in them, but lots of pearls if the right ones are picked. Holdsworth does not seem to be able to.
The shitter players we have are from lower leagues, non-league and over the border are they not?
