The lack of any sort of info or news coming out of the flub at this vital time is disappointing to say the least, there should be some urgency given our precarious position.
The best way to pick a new manager is to have prospective candidates watch a match and training then put forward their thoughts on what needed to done to get the team playing to their strengths and start getting results.
I remember a one Bob Stokoe been given the job through that process and he came in and didn’t make any signings to start with but got the team performing.

Let’s face it, whoever comes in is hardly going to have the best CV around and people are always going to find a fault; inexperienced, journeyman, crap style of play, never been promoted, etc, etc.
Personally I like seeing clubs think outside the box a little and look as though they’ve put a bit of work into finding a decent choice, Swansea have always impressed me in this respect. There’s nothing worse than a boring, lazy appointment of a tired old journeyman manager who clubs see as a safe option.
Someone in the ilk of Neil Critchley who Blackpool appointed from Liverpool’s youth set-up would be a good choice, although you could say Beech was of the same manner and that didn’t turn out great.

I don't hold Beech as 'to blame' TBH... Losing your best CB, and then a bloody good full back in the opening weeks is a disaster... Anywhere.
