the domino effect......Rotherham after a striker from Millwall, but Millwall are having the same issue as Rotherham trying to bring in a player like for like. dont know whats happened to the player who Rotherham had interest in at Villa.

If Swindon are still interested I’d imagine he’ll end up there. It’s only really morecambe and Macclesfield that I’d be confident in a player choosing us over.

I would like to think that he knows how well respected he is up here and will sign.

He is too good to insult with a one year deal though, I would give him a three year deal - seriously, Nadesan was worth one too as Crawley realised.

I think because of what happened to Jason Kennedy then those days are over as we all knew how good JK was but because of the injury then I don't think the board will do long term deals anymore which is stupid as sometimes they work and sometimes they don't - we made money from Wyke and lost some from having to replace JK, just how it is in football but saying that your fingers have been burned with one or two players so we aren't going down that route again is just plain silly.

If they aren’t willing to give devitt more than a year then I’d be shocked if they offered more to Yates.

He would have to love the club more than us on here to accept a one year deal.

Not even I would do it if in his position if I got a two year deal elsewhere, even on slightly less money at least I could make longer term plans.

Some players have kids and their other half could be in employment down the other side of the country etc.
