The tax cuts are political, they are an irrelevance. If I get an extra 30k what will I spend it on? The shops are empty, supply chain issues. No one in their right mind would invest in Britain, so what do I do? Put it in one of the offshore funds, then it needs to be in $s. 30k is going to buy a round of drinks in NY, so the money is worthless.

Short term tax cuts don't have monumental effects on 10 year gilt yields. The market is signalling that it has no confidence in the future. The Tories since 2010 have cranked up taxes, borrowed like crazy, slashed public services and creamed off the money. There is now nothing left. Our economy is already behind India, it will keep falling because we have nothing, no manufacturing, no intellectual capacity and no natural resources. It was always going to happen, we have just reached the tipping point.

It will take Labour years to sort out the mess left by the Tories

Or you could have pointed out that the new figures have revised the size of the economy down from + 6% to -2% of pre Covid levels. However good to see they have changed tack and are now talking to the OBR, if they want to sell loads of bonds they need to restore confidence in the market. As for Kwartengs reputation and the polls, that may take a while longer to restore. .

We're already at war with Russia. Thousands of the soldiers who led the Kharkov counteroffensive are either Poles or US mercenaries. The US has already opened an HQ in Europe with 300 staff to take control of the war. It's now Russia against NATO, the Ukrainians have lost so many soldiers there aren't any left.

Mad Vlad is already resorting to calling up hundreds of thousands of folk who want nothing to do with it. If NATO properly join this war, it can end one of two ways: mutually assured destruction (in the event that Vlad hits the idiot switch); or a coup in the Kremlin.

Russia can not defeat NATO through conventional warfare, that much has been made clear by their performance throughout their ‘limited special operation’, or whatever it is that they call their land grab.

They go door to door because the mercenaries firing himas rockets etc at polling stations. During the last vote nationalists attacked a polling station in lughansk and shot 6 people dead. Your claim is that the people in that region would turn out in force to vote for their killers? That's really what you believe to be true?

How do you explain turnout figures of 90+% where half the population has fled? Or in the provinces where Ukraine has part of the territory? It's just utter bollocks, they didn't even try and make it believable, like saying 70% who voted of a 60% turnout were in favour, it was an impossible 90+% of 90+%
