I could see this capitulation happening at Christmas why I called for it. PPG at Christmas and we’d be having a bus tour round Carlisle - wouldn’t of happened though.

Football has changed forever now I reckon.

The SKY profits must be through the roof with folk getting fantastic value for money currently, they will now have the say because when asked to go back to normal they will respond with 'Oh you didn't mind the players running their little hearts out during a pandemic blah blah blah' and they will have a stronger hand.

It was never going to ever affect the top tier during all of the chaos as it is so awash with money, lower down will take the hit.

Will you still be able to pay for home games on Ifollow? Tricky this one as we have all established that what people miss is the whole going to the game experience and meeting up so if they are missing out on a market of people who just cannot get there for whatever reason.

If the figures were available to compare then perhaps it would make more sense.

Yes, it would be good if football could be available live for viewing on tv with a more reliable platform, better coverage etc.
It does seem a bit of an old fashioned view now to stop games being shown so that punters have to go to the game.
Clearly people go to games because they enjoy the experience, to see their mates etc and go to away matches for the trip out.
We all know people who cant make it to games due to geography, disability etc.
We also know people who can't be bothered to spend £20 going to a match in Baltic weather on a Tuesday night in December.
The game needs to adapt to survive at lower league level. This includes accepting that armchair and online viewing is now an unavoidable fact of modern life.
I think there are too many games and some games are not attractive to go to.
Clubs should realistically expect to get decent crowds to games on a Saturday and offer cheap tickets for the Tuesday night games to get a respectable amount of punters in.
I think there should be more focus on getting bigger crowds for SOME games that are more of an occasion with more stuff happening, not just an endless trudge of monotony.

EFL Chief hopes for return to normal crowds for next Season:

10k Outdoor Crowds from 17th May:

10,000 or 25% capacity whichever is lower.
Will be 25% except for those grounds with more than a 40.000 capacity, where the percentage will be less.

That’s over 4,000 for us - and if the virus continues to retreat and the PM is true to his word, it’ll surely be back to 100% capacity by August.
