Basically the person he wanted as Chief executive, I think, said it was talked amongst PL clubs that Carlisle were one of seven clubs, identified, outside the PL with correct running and right investment Could sustain a PL place..

There are far more than seven clubs outside the PL with more potential than us!

Looks like Bradford are a very well run club. Attendances have grown from nothing spectacular at all.

They offered cheap season tickets for a few years, and are reaping the reward. Merchandise, catering, membership etc...

Over to you Curle.

Annoying though, with the right people in charge we have the potential to be the bigger club and pay the bigger wages. Bradford isn't much bigger than Carlisle with a harder catchment area.

Got to be up there with the best!!!

I didn't Base it off the population I've spent alot of time working there. It isn't a very big city.

And 95% of them have no interest in football and have other things to do on a Saturday Afternoon like painting the Mosque

I really don't know what you're talking about here! It's about the fourth or fifth biggest city in the country.

Do you mean it isn't a very big city with regards the shopping area or city centre? Unfortunately that's totally irrelevant.

Always been a bit of a grey area this, what constitutes the population of a city. For instance Carlisle urban has a population just short of 80,000 but with surrounding villages like Dalston, Scotby, Wetheral, etc it's just under 110,000. Most cities have two figures according to which way you look at it. Personally I'd say someone who lives in Scotby or Dalston is from Carlisle.

They need to get this in the open, the deal has clearly been done and has been on the cards for a long time.

No excuses, 3 hours to improve the squad or we have sabotaged our own season.

The deal will have been done well before, but embargos are put in place to give everyone (press, club media etc) a fair chance to get the news out at the same time. U fortunately some tit leaked that photo which spoiled it.

Anyone else think the obsession with Abbott is a bit weird?

No because our demise and almost relegation down to the Conference was largely down to him and then his successor Kavanagh. Always running us down as a tin pot club who couldn't compete with Bury, Rochdale etc. So to be blunt it rubs salt in already raw wounds he comes back and might possibly screw up a chance of promotion back to where we would be if he hadn't turned us from Championship chasers to relegation fodder. He release the likes of Wells Madden Loy etc after playing them out of position and now when we do have a 20 goal a season striker that they could have been for us (because they went on to be elsewhere) he's the c#nt that comes in a takes him off our hands!!!

His time at Carlisle United had clearly run it's course and he hadn't a clue what he was doing at the end other than hoping that some of it would stick. But he got sacked over 3 years ago and people are talking about a club that he's now working at signing one of our players and it being because he wants to stick it to the club. Rubbish.

This is lower league football, players who play well for Carlisle United are going to leave to go to bigger and better clubs because they can afford to pay more and give the players a shot at playing at a higher level. Whether it was Bradford or someone else that took him off our hands, the way we respond to him leaving is what will determine whether we get promotion or not. Us not having a fit bloody left back is more of a concern to me than anything else.
Arise, Sir Jimmy

If Bradford are getting 18k gates then their playing budget must be massive in League One.

Horrible place to visit Bradford I find but there is no denying he has made a step up.

If Bradford were actually getting 18k paying customers i.d say the must be very badly run to be in the third tier.

Don't know what the situation is with Bradford having any money coming in from player sales but shelling out 250k on a player isn't too shabby.

Why when they sold one last week for twice that ?

As I said I had no idea what their output of players was, still a chunk to shell out.
