I like KC's stance on this. Just because they want our player doesn't mean we have to sell him. We have a valuation of him, it's their job to come to what we value him at, not our job to lower what we want to suit them.

Lad called Chris Long from Burnley not played for them this season but been on loan at Fleetwood and now gone to Bolton which is a bit strange as they pulled him back from FTFC as they felt he wasnt getting enough games yet Bolto seem to have plenty of Strikers

I think his contracts up in the summer and isnt getting another so could of been a try before you buy sort of loan

Proctor only left Bradford in the summer for nowt, strange them going back for him. Although his goal scoring record on Wikipedia is fantastic!

Simon Parker's twitter is quite interesting, says Proctor isn't necessarily instead of Wyke. He also says they're out the running for Barrow left back Nick Anderson who was mentioned on here over the weekend, Wolves and Rotherham interested. Not sure if one was from Bradford but Barrow turned down two bids for him over the weekend.

Crunch these deals are bound to happen at the last minute. As Mortonblue above pointed out Curle doesn't want the clubs he is dealing with to know that he definitely has £300k from the Wyke sale burning a hole in his pocket.

Anyway... my take on why there's a delay (not based on any inside info on this one).

Bradford have made a bid of £250k for Wyke, which they believe matches his buyout clause. However, while the bid could eventually be worth £250k, it's not £250k upfront and is the usual deal of add-ons etc (i.e. £80k up top, another £50 when he makes 50 appearances, another £50k if he scores 40 goals, £70k if Bradford are promoted). We're telling them to stick it and offer £250k upfront (or possibly a little less with a decent sell-on clause (unless a sell-on clause was stipulated with his buyout clause).

This is how Huddersfield got Dempsey - by offering the full £300k upfront.
