It's more than the footy, we have had many false dawns and attempts to do better and failed. It's all the other ingredients, like the Trust for one, a lump of ley-people who couldn't run a hot-dag barrow, owning a significant % of footy Club by de-fault, and don't know what to do about it. They own the legacy of killing the best opportunity this club has had in decades.
The match-day experience is dire, it's 1970's stuff, and we appear to be bereft of ideas to move forward.
Add to this all the previous end of season spin from Millionaires to Blue Yonder and of course the wonderful NDA's and ' I can't say nowt' BS.
No one at CUFC ever commits to anything, no objectives, aspirations, targets, nowt. And you can see why, we simply don't deliver - ever.
We have all seen first-hand what happens if you stick your head above the parapet and challenge any of this, it's swiftly chopped off, like the Fan's rep was.
Clibbin's does his best, but it's all operational and PR stuff, we need a few lumps of meat every now and again.
We need to hear the sentence " I have some great news for the fans, we are about to......."
We are in a race to the bottom-have been for 5 years. It’s now a competition between the debt and investment-and we know which one has priority.
The PD debt is going up Marko.Read the accounts. The one thing we don’t know is what the terms of the debt are.I suspect it’s already in technical default due to expiry of the original term-hence the letter of comfort for next 12 months
As for the stadium, the council needs to get off its arse and build a new sports/education complex. The club doesn’t need to build it
You can smell decay around the Club-it’s being run in a shoestring because the current regime screwed it up-the trust being a big part of it with their blocking right.Would they rather have 10pc of something or 25.4pc of [censored] all is the question?

You can't expect the tax payer to bail out the club and build them a stadium. That's even before you consider whether they have the gumption - rumour has it their flood defence policy for the Sands is to just et the water enter the buildimg.

It's on stilts by the look of it.
It's different for shopping centres / business parks though as you will get firms signing up to fill as yet unbuilt premises. That doesn't really happen for commerce that relies on individuals, they have to do market research to see if enough people would turn up at what price to make it worthwhile. I wonder if CUFC have ever done that?
