Before game on Saturday the Barrow pundits were saying Zanzala is back in the team . He goes missing in games too much and needs to bring more to the team .
Some said that last season so maybe that may have a bearing on why the extra wasn't offered as he was offered what they thought he was worth and not what Zanzala thought . Bradford obviously agreed .

Marko - bang goes your argument that all decisions are made by Holdsworth and Clibbens - DH has stated today that after the manager shortlist has been drawn up, it will go to a vote, including the board.
Also, in my opinion, worrying that they would strongly consider Skelton if he won 3 games. Isn't what they did to Kavanagh, and we know how that ended. Skelton is not the man for me.

Not defending DH but it’s been stated numerous times that CB picked the Players, then DH attempts to bring them in.

I thought he spoke well tbh and confirmed what many of us thought - in that the manager identifies the players and DH sorts out the contracts as a go between to prevent PD/The Board being ripped off/taken for a ride by players and their agents.
I guess the problems arise if the manager keeps identifying players and the powers that be keep telling him they can't afford them. Nothing has been said by Beech on that score and probably that is not surprising with him being inexperienced and new to management-would likely have been a different story with a Curle or Sheridan!
And so what if he mentioned a particular player to Beech, he could presumably have said no.
Therefore if the players suddenly stop performing as they appear to have done from where they were some 9 months or so ago, it has to come down to the manager - unless there was some sort of bonus system which was reneged upon!
It did sound as if GS has a good chance of taking on the managers role if the players decide to perform over the next 3 games or so!

Lots of it 'as expected' and echo one or two others views that he speaks well - I always feel that he's a switched on, honest and intelligent guy whenever I hear him interviewed. Was gracious about Beech, which I think was the right thing to do - the man was clearly a nice bloke with some good ideas, it had just gone wrong and he didn't have a fix.
I didn't infer as much as others on Skelton, just felt like he said what he needed to say to keep him motivated and on side.

I think we can all see that a few senior pros, and possibly even new players, have looked frustrated or 'gone missing' in the last few weeks, but can't see how a DoF saying that provides much motivation to them in the short term. It will be interesting to find out if all the current BoD have a vote on who the new manager is. If I was a new incoming owner the last thing I would want is to allow the previous disastrous regime dictating who my new manager was. I suspect they will all gat a vote because I think none of them are going anywhere. Just a share shuffle to get the horsemen off the hook and PD ensuring he gets any future cash bonanzas.

Does that mean he is not a DoF then TSW. That would just make him an administrator/contracts man.
Most clubs DoF set the parameters (such as style) for the club for the manager to implement, as the DoF is meant to be a long term appointment at the club and the manager is usually much less permanent. The theory of having a DoF is to stop each new manager wanting to rip things up and start again with his own players in each time they get a job.
I personally think it is just him trying to avoid scrutiny, as usual, however well he speaks. It is getting cleaer and cleaer he is a PD/EWM/Purepay employee in all but name, and is not going anywhere while the debt is owed.
