Moorlass and I have been doing a fair bit of walking recently, she takes all the pictures, as anybody who knows her on facebook will have seen. This weekend we were at Ullswater and Aira Force, what a great time in lovely conditions.
More of us should be getting out there you know, almost every voice I heard was a southerner.
Love the pictures on here, keep them coming.

The walk today took 5 1/2 hours as for Great Gable we did it from Wasdale Head Inn (free car parking just before it ).
The route we took was round the back of Wasdale pub and straight up Kirk Fell (quite damanding ) but worth it a short decent off kirk fell gets you onto a path up Gt Gable probably the best path on there and a bit of hands on scrambling near the summit we decended down path the gets you to Styhead tarn then you can either go staight back down valley to Wasdale Head or take the corridor route (nice path but another climb) which joins the Scafell Pike path down to Wasdale we took the latter approx 6 hr walk .
